William
To me, Scotland means hope,
really like…hope,
hope for all people of Scotland.
There’s a very forward,
free and progressive-thinking people–
or the Scottish people are forward
and free-thinking,
and they inspire hope.
Well, I guess, with the way that
the current political climate is,
I’m hoping for independence
and then reunification with the EU;
probably is one of my biggest hopes
for right now.
I guess it would restore my faith
in our leaders.
It would solidify
my pre-existing knowledge
that Scotland is an inclusive
and welcoming and loving community.
If Scotland is to fully succumb
to London rule,
then I foresee things getting
quite bad for us economically,
especially for those
that are disprivileged.
There are many communities in Scotland
which are on the lower scale of the
Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation.
And should things get worse,
then it’s these people
that are really going to suffer the most,
and that’s something
I would like to see avoided.
I voted for remain with the EU,
and I voted for independence from Britain.
I do believe that,
in the current state that we are in,
we do need unification of all peoples.
However, in order for that to happen,
I believe we need to have
a specific level of self-governance.
In order to unify, we need to know
what we can bring to the table,
rather than being told
what we’re allowed to the table.
