In November 1989, I came to Glasgow,
and I fell in love
with a Scottish person –
woman – and I love her.
I love Scotland, all parts of it.
Well, Scotland is a nation
who wants to be nation
and is a nation, right?
It’s full of culture,
I love this culture, okay?
It is cold [and] damp here.
There’s more poverty.
But people, all the time,
protect each other.
What can I say?
I can say no more that hope and poverty
will move away,
and that Scotland
will become more and more beautiful.
One day, I don’t know I still love
‘Flower of Scotland’ –
some people don’t like it; I love it.
Independence?
Difficult. People love it
from the time of Mary Queen of Scots.
People loved Scotland to be independent.
But it is difficult time
for the economy point of view.
It may be a big challenge.
It may be better [if] Scotland wait
for a wee while, for a few years,
in order the young generation passes
this digital age with some success,
in Scotland.
Obtain education from England
and other places,
and then become independent.
At this time, becoming independent
may be detrimental to Scottish future.
I think it’s better to wait,
only pass five years to ten years.
After that situation, will happen.
